Topic: Exterior Desert Water Bag for your SUV
Previous TopicNext TopicHelp
Here's an old fashioned trick for carrying about 1 gallon of water on the outside of your Sport Utility Vehicle. Use a Desert Water Bag hung on the front of your SUV. Water is kept cold by the process of evaporation as you drive down the road, even in the hottest of weather.

This water bag will provide enough water for your radiator should it run low although if the radiator is empty, 1 gallon will not be enough to go very far without overheating your SUV.

The water will slowly evaporate as you drive down the highway. You should replenish it from a good drinking water supply every time you stop for fuel.

You may also find a version of the Desert Water Bag at the Old West Cowboy Store (shown in bottom photograph).

Warning: If you replenish the water in these water bags from a lake, pond, river, stream or any other non-drinking water source along your route, do not drink the water without first boiling it.
