Topic: Paying Close Attention
Previous TopicNext TopicHelp
Paying close attention to all that is going on around you is crucial to safe driving, particularly in inclement weather. In the photo at the left, our driver has spotted the car apparently belonging to a popular radio station in town (note the license plate - KFBK).

In our drivers eagerness to see if a local radio personality is driving the car, he fails to note that the brake lights are also lit!

Our driver also fails to notice that directly ahead, the traffic is coming to a screeching halt for some reason (photo below). While most SUV's afford the driver a better view of the road ahead because of high ground clearance, this does no good if the driver is not paying attention to what's' out front! In inclement weather, try to minimize ALL distractions so that you may afford yourself the maximum reaction time available should an emergency arise.
