Topic: Clean Mud off Lights
Previous TopicNext TopicHelp
If you have been in the mud or lots of dirt, your front and rear lights will be covered so that they may not be effective at night.

Pay particular to the side lights (the ones that are visible from the side of your vehicle at night). Before you get back on the highway, and particularly if you will be driving at night, wipe the front side lights (red circle in photo at left) and rear side lights (red arrow in photo at the bottom) clean. You want to assure that your 4x4 can be seen from the side at night and the lights will not shine through mud covered lights very well.

If you drive a lot in snow country, you will frequently find the rear lights covered with road dirt. Clean them frequently to give those behind you the maximum visibility of your vehicle.
