There are a few issues regarding driving safely in sport utility vehicles that you should know about. Some of those issues are to your advantage and some are to you disadvantage. For example, some SUV's have a higher center of gravity than regular vehicles and can therefore roll over easier with sudden road maneuvers.

Taller SUV's provide the advantage of improved visibility for you on the highway but they also worsen the visibility for other drivers because of their size.

Warning: We have not covered all of the possible safety issues with regard to all SUV's and 4 wheel drive pick-up trucks in our training course. You must read you owners manual and consult with your dealer to assure that you understand any safety issues regarding your specific vehicle.
